Nearly 20,000 employees of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) held a massive rally and took out morcha on 28 March 2023 against outsourcing of electricity works. The rally was organised by TNEB Joint Action Committee comprising of 13 unions and associations.
The TNEB Employees Federation’s general secretary, A Sekizhar addressed the rally and said, “Our main demand is not to outsource electricity works and to implement G.O. 100 so that job security, time-bound wage revision and work allotment could be ensured.”
