On International Workers’ Day, irregular employees of Chhattisgarh demonstrated for their regularization

On the occasion of International Workers’ Day, irregular workers demonstrated in Nava Raipur in Chhattisgarh. These employees demand that the government should fulfill the assurance of regularization given to them before the elections.

During this demonstration, State President of Chhattisgarh United Irregular Employees Federation, Ravi Garhpaale said that if the government does not regularize the employees as per its promise, then we will intensify the movement in the coming times. The government should give relief to lakhs of employees of the state by regularizing them soon. Along with this, he placed a 7-point demand chater including stopping retrenchment in the departments, giving compassionate jobs to the family members of the deceased employees.

Demands:

  1. There should be regularization of all irregular employees of government departments and subordinate departments, corporation, board, commission like contract, placement, contract, collector rate, honorarium, job rate, daily wage earner, labor commissioner rate.
  2. Employees laid off from various departments should be re-employed.
  3. Jobs should be given to the relatives of the deceased teachers.
  4. Small honorarium workers like cook, sweeper should be given salary at the minimum collector rate.
  5. Placement and contract system should be stopped.
  6. Part time employee should be made full time.
