BSNL employees hold militant dharna in Delhi for their demands of wage revision, launch of 4G and 5G services and new promotion policy

The Joint Forum of the Non-Executive Unions and Associations of BSNL organised a massive and militant dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on 7 July. Hundreds of comrades participated in this dharna from almost all the circles. Com. Chandeshwar Singh, Chairman, of the Joint Forum, presided over the dharna. Com. P. Abhimanyu, Convenor, of the Joint Forum, welcomed everyone and briefed the demands on which the dharna is being organised.

Com. Amarjit Kaur, General Secretary, AITUC and Com. Tapan Sen, General Secretary, CITU, delivered rousing speeches, supporting the demands of the Joint Forum viz., immediate launching of 4G & 5G, prompt settlement of Wage Revision and other issues. They also severely criticised the anti-Public Sector, anti-working class and pro-corporate policies of the government.

Com. K.G. Jayaraj, GS, AIBDPA, Com. Suresh Kumar, GS, BSNL MS and Com. J. Vijayakumar, GS, TEPU, also addressed the meeting and explained the demands. Despite threatening from the Management against participating in the dharna and also amidst intermittent raining, the comrades massively participated in this dharna till the end. Both the Chairman and Convenor of the Joint Forum heartily thanked all the comrades who have participated in the dharna and assured that more militant agitations would be organised by the Joint Forum in the days to come.
